RULES:
- The Risley Cup is held in scramble format: Each of four team members tees off on each hole. Team members determine which tee shot is best and mark the spot with a tee or ball marker.
- Remaining team members balls are placed within one club length (no closer to the hole) of the marked spot. Each team member hits his or her next shot from the chosen spot of the prior shot.
- This procedure is followed on every shot for the remainder of the hole, including putts. Balls should be marked on the putting green.
- Each team must use at least one of each team members tee shots during the round.
- Men tee off from the white tees; women from the designated women's tees.
- Putts shall be made within 3 inches of the marked spot (no closer to the hole). The first ball to go in the hole is counted for the team score.
- If the chosen ball in play is in a hazard (sand, water, etc.), the rough, or out of bounds, it must remain as is. They ball may not be dropped outside of the hazard or rough even if relief is within one club length away.
- Tiebreaker: Scores on the lowest handicapped ranked holes will be used to determine the winners. Holes 3 and 14 are the lowest handicapped ranked holes on front and back nine, respectively, at Seneca Golf Course.
- Bogey Rule: No team shall score higher than a bogey (+1) on a hole. Once a bogey score has been reached, proceed to the next hole.
- Each winning Risley Cup team member shall retain the cup for one-quarter of the winning year. The first possessor of the cup is responsible for engraving the cup with the names of the winning team members. The winning team must return the cup to the Risley Cup Tee-Off Luncheon or course prior to the start of play the following year.
